CPA Help Center > Qualification to Request Help
The New Jersey CPA Help Center is a pro-bono program available to assist:
- New Jersey residents who are in the midst of a crisis, such as a health-related emergency, natural disaster or act of violence.
- Military combat personnel serving abroad and their spouses.
Individuals must demonstrate a need for the Help Center and not be currently receiving similar services from a certified public accountant (CPA).

If you don't meet the above criteria, the New Jersey Society of CPAs offers other resources that may assist you:
- Find-A-CPA - an online referral service to help you search for a CPA by location and services provided.
- "Pro Bono" Classified Ads - if your nonprofit organization/charity is seeking the pro-bono assistance of a CPA to serve on a board or provide basic accounting services, you may submit a free classified ad.
